We will try to assist if you need time outside of the stated times, depending on booking and servicing of the guest house.

The guest house has a no smoking inside policy. No pets allowed. Guest towels not to be used for swimming.

Washpool Retreat guest house is a fantastic 2 bedroom guest house located between Tailem Bend and Wellington. It is in prime position right on the waters edge of the Murray River. A protected north facing deck and veranda is ideal for relaxing outside in summer or sitting cosily inside during winter with the warm sun filtering in. A fully self contained home with modern cooking facilities, dishwasher, microwave, 2 queen bedrooms with televisions in all rooms, linen and towels supplied. It has open plan living/dining/kitchen all with views of the river and bathroom/laundry.

Apartment on Washpool is a great private guest apartment overlooking the River Murray. It offers 2 queen bedrooms both with televisions, open plan living/dining/kitchenette with glass doors out to your own private balcony, a large bathroom including a freestanding bath. For your enjoyment in the main living room is a billiard table and dart board.

Matt's River Rest at Washpool is a new modern 3 bedroom rental/holiday home for you to relax and enjoy the river activities. You can bring your own boat and ski from your own private beach front directly below your house. Sit out on the large balcony and watch the view, soak up the sun and fully recharge. A great quiet and relaxing getaway.

Washpool also offers 2 RV lawn camp sites, separate from the guest house. Power and river water available. Campers must be fully self contained. River access (walking) is via the boat ramp road.

The property is a hidden gem! We arrived late and were a bit spooked by remote Wellington (we took the roundabout way from Murray Bridge) but when we arrived at Lindy's house we couldn't believe how amazing the space was. Lindy's house was very clean and as described. Unfortunately the day was very windy and cloudy so we didn't get to appreciate the outdoors. Lindy was a wonderful host - communicating with us frequently, offering location suggestions for dinner, providing breakfast and snack supplies and suggestion we call the ferry to Kangaroo island to confirm. March 2016 My partner and I loved every moment at Washpool Retreat. The scerery was was breath taking. We had amazing weather so the water was like glass! To sit on the balcony and just relax was divine. There was a lot of bird life and watching them fly around and swoop the water was beautiful. We took the kyacks and paddles to the Welligton pub for lunch then paddled back. Round trip of 9 km. Lindy was great to communicate with and very helpful. Lindy allowed us our privacy and both my partner and I felt comfortable and at at home. Thankyou 🙂 March 2016

March 2016 We loved Washpool Retreat on the Murray River. Our accommodation was clean, modern and comfortable with a lovely river setting. Birdlife was abundant and beautiful. Lindy was welcoming and helpful. We had a splendid stay.

December 2015 Washpool Retreat was exactly as advertised if not better. The place was spotless, and the setting was stunning. Lindy and Wayne were very friendly, and gave us good advice on things to do. We were lucky to have a few beautiful days with clear sky, and at night it looked as we could see every single star in the sky. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone who wanted to stay somewhere special.

A deposit of 50% for your accommodation is required at the time of the booking. The balance of payment for the stay must be made 30 days prior to arrival.
